Sure. My name is Will, head of strategy at Ethermon. I've been working with Ethermon for well over a year.

Can you tell us more about the vision behind Ethermon, and why are you launching it?

Ethermon is a free-to-play, play-to-earn NFT game where you collect Ethermons to level up, battle, and earn. Ethermon is pioneering franchising aspects of the game so that the community can own a piece of the game and earn revenue through revenue generating NFTs!

Tell us more about the team behind Ethermon, and how your experience has led you here?

Ethermon has been around since 2017. The team comes from all corners of the gaming industry including the early days of the first XBOX! We all have a similar sentiment about blockchain gaming in the fact that once you learn you can own digital assets, traditional gaming isn't as interesting as it was before. So we're dedicated to building a sustainable play-to-earn economy where anyone can collect and grow their assets just by playing. ✅

What differs you from other similar projects?

After being in the blockchain space for quite some time now, we've been able to see the progression of the industry first hand. Our focus is to provide a play-to-earn economy that is sustainable. What differentiates us is our ability to franchise our game for the community to own. The Garden Bed and Egg Nest are NFTs that are deployable in Decentraland and allow the owner to generate revenue for themselves. This expands our community and enables a level of participation that wasn't possible before. ✅

Can you tell our community a bit more about your $EMON token, particularly about the token utility and your token generation event (TGE)?

Our allowlist process was officially announced on May 6th and will remain open through May 15th for the Ethermon community participation. If you hold at least 250 POLS, your window of participation is from May 12th - 15th. Polkastarter was gracious enough to allow us to include a public pool as we've been working together for a couple months on this process. Our community will have a chance to participate by obtaining 3 Matic Mons out of 9 that will become available in the coming days. POLS holders can increase their chance with 3 Matic Mons as well. The following are the token utilities to kick things off:

- Purchase Mons, Asset “Packs”, Meta Franchises and Cosmetics

- Purchase and Upgrade Battle Moves / Equipment / Rare Items

- Upgrade Metas and Enhance Gameplay Utilities

Ethermon is a multiplatform game and our focus is to have our NFTs interoperable in many different metaverses. Our focus at the moment is to create an engaging game in Decentraland where landowners play a critical role in the Ethermon game.

What do you mean about franchising? Lets get some details. 👀

Like I've mentioned earlier, sustainability is a key component in the play-to-earn ecosystem. So we're bringing in the concept of franchising where gameplay mechanics are converted to NFTs and deployable in Decentraland called METAs.

Our METAs are revenue generating NFTs that allow owners to sell in-game content to other players. We've had META owners earn as much as 10,000 MANA already! ✅

Ethermoon has been in the crypto space since already 2017, making it one of the longest standing NFT projects. Could you tell us what you would refer to as the most difficult challenge involved in building a unique NFT project as yours? For you to have lasted this long in the industry, I am sure you have a secret recipe you use, if you would not mind sharing it with us?

Congrats!

Such a good question. The team has been in crypto since 2013, we've seen the ups and downs of the entire industry.

Because this industry is so young, the most difficult thing so far is selecting the tech to implement in our architecture. For example, up until recently the layer 2 space has been a fierce competition. Polygon has emerged as the go-to Second layer solution for many projects. Before just a few months ago it wasn't so clear.

The biggest key is really listening to the community. There are so many bright minds in this industry and there is so much to learn and much of the learning really comes from the community feedback. That is the secret sauce by far.

Where does the money in-play-to-earn concepts come from? I guess from the player base itself? Doesn't this mean that the community needs to continuously keep growing to keep up the playing rewards, since the new capital is only coming from new players?

Will, Ethermon

Great question. We have reserved 30% of our token just for the community to play to earn. Since we're focusing on the larger ecosystem we want to build content that allows our player base to participate directly in the gameplay servicing other players - versus only being a player in the game.

Through our franchising model, you essentially become the game. An NFT as a business if you will. Much of that revenue will come from the community so that the players can upgrade their ethermon NFT and transform and improve their battle metrics.

How will Ethermon intend to build the future of gaming to make sure that users never experience most problems attached with the video game industry again?

We're focused on sustainability. We also have our ear to the ground, if you will, paying attention to the wider development of the crypto ecosystem. We're seeing everything with DeFi, DAOs, DEXs etc develop and we're always looking to adapt our game according to how the industry develops.

What are the ways that Ethermon generates profits/revenue to maintain your project and what is its revenue model? How can it make benefit profitable to both investor and your project?

Definitely check out how we're franchising the Ethermon game which is focused on the Decentraland metaverse. Players can earn revenue with that type of content. You can find more details on our site in the left menu panel.

NFTs are considered a trending thing now within the crypto industry after DeFi. Could Ethermon share your opinion about NFT? Where do Ethermon see the future evolution of NFT features and capabilities in the next few years?

One of my favorite topics to discuss. We've seen the NFT boom take off within the last couple of months. Everyone has noticed that even the non-crypto population is aware of NFTs now that the mainstream is talking about.

Largely, NFTs have been mostly non-functional. We want to steer the wider crypto space towards a more functional NFT ecosystem. Many in the DeFi space is incorporating function with their NFTS.

For example Ethermon has revenue generating NFTs as one particular function. We feel like functional NFTs will have a far more speculative value than non-functional NFTs.

What is the mission of Ethermon in the very competitive market of NFTs etc.? What kind of marketing strategies are you willing to use to achieve greater adoption?

The mission is to create a sustainable play-to-earn ecosystem where players can earn through a persistent gameplay. At any time you should be able to jump into any one of our Ethermon game platforms like the 2D game on our website or our 3D game in Decentraland and earn.

Like I mentioned before, players can be the game itself through our revenue generating franchising model.

How many different types of Monster are there to Catch Mons? What categories have you divided the monsters and how do you determine the strength of the monsters?

Great question!

We have over 200 Ethermon in existence. Many of them exist in 3d and right now being rigged to include their animations so that every player that holds an Ethermon can jump into Decentraland and start taking care of their Ethermon pets.

For the hardcore gamer, you can train your ethermon to battle to participate in the larger gameplay mechanic and battle the enemies in the environment right within Decentraland. You'll be able to battle each other as well for more prizes!

When a new mon is added, it goes through a BILLION battles (literally) through a battle engine we created so that no one mon is too overpowered. We make sure any new mon is balanced with the rest of the game.

I actually attempted to reach the Ethermon website using my mobile phone but was shown mobile not supported yet and that I should use desktop. Why is it like that and when will you support mobile phone?

Mobile support is coming. We developed and designed the game for the desktop as we were designing the battle mechanics for our 2D game.

I see that in the last few weeks, it seems clear that the next increase in growth for our industry may be due to the DEFI incentives. That is, yield farming, liquidity mining, rebates, and other methods that value providers have to raise funds by participating. How do you plan to ensure that your platform and in particular the #ETHERMON token are meaningfully included in this DEFI token basket and provide the right incentives to attract new users in the same way as any other token?

Absolutely, DeFi mechanics will be incorporated to the $EMON token.

What are the advantages of Ethermon to compete with competitors of the same side?

Why was blockchain important to bring Ethermon ? What problems are you going to solve in this ecosystem?

The ability to franchise our game mechanics is something unique to the NFT space. We feel like this mechanic will attract a lot of users. Our cross platform interoperability is a core aspect to our design as well.

Blockchain is important because we think there will be a paradigm shift in how future gamers will think. They will think about playing games as a means to acquire assets. For gamers, blockchain has rendered traditional gaming less interesting since there are no real assets to acquire.

In a bull market, many projects tend to do well. Your project depends on others to perform well. What has $ETHERMON brought to succeed in the big market?

So many projects spawn out of thin air during the bull market. Since we've been around building since 2017 we have an advantage since we can predict where the market is headed and what technologies are important for the future development of the crypto ecosystem.

Because we can predict where the market is headed, our platform and assets can stay ahead of the curve and always introduce new aspects into blockchain gaming such as the deployable revenue generating NFTs.
