We are happy to announce that Polkastarter v4 is officially entering its beta testing phase!

Loaded with exciting new features, including a new profile system, custom quests (Missions), and a complete visual rebrand, v4 is set to elevate your Polkastarter experience, making it better, smoother, and fresher than ever. 

In the sections that follow, we will iterate over the key improvements and what they mean for you. Let’s dive in!

Polkastarter V4 (Beta)

We teased it a bit over the past few weeks, and today, it’s happening. 

Polkastarter v4 comes with a sleek new look and exciting features! Our front end has been redesigned to match our fresh new branding. This includes a new home page, dashboard, navigation bar, and soon, a staking page and POLS v2 migration portal!

Significant developments have also been made on the backend. Missions will now enable us to host custom quests directly on the Polkastarter website, while User Profiles will support multiple wallets, social media connections, and KYC setting adjustments. And there’s much more to come with the new staking contract and $POLS token v2 in preparation! 

Next, let's look at how the testing process will unfold and what you can expect as a participant.

How will the testing process unfold?

The Polkastarter v4 release and testing will happen in stages. 

First, we are opening the closed beta exclusively for POLS Club members. If you are among the +50,000 $POLS holders, you can reach out to us on Telegram to be added to the POLS Club group and start testing. 

The public release of the beta testing is scheduled for the 5th of September. 

What features will be unlocked?

As we progress through the testing phases, we will gradually release the new updates and features for you to explore in the testing environment.

The complete platform revamp will include:

• Missions
• User Profiles
• Visual Redesign

Let’s have a little look at a handful of improvements.

Missions

The Missions feature allows us to host custom project quests directly on the Polkastarter platform for rewards in project tokens or POLS Power boosts.

With Missions, our goal is to bring the community and projects closer together. We will be able to set up exciting campaigns for both the IDO projects and other ecosystem partners, significantly broadening our scope of operation and potential rewards coming from holding $POLS tokens. 

We believe the community should have 'skin in the game' and actively participate in the development of the projects. In web3, the community is thought to be a decentralised extension of the team and the project’s most valuable asset. So hold your $POLS bags tight, you may soon need them. 

User Profiles

The addition of User Profiles will simplify the onboarding process for new users and vastly improve the experience of the existing community. 

Struggling with changing wallets and the one-time KYC link? We heard you. You will now be able to switch your primary wallet to which your KYC is connected.

And there is more! With User Profiles, we unlock: 

• Onboarding: you can now create your profile and connect via social media
• Inventory: this is where you will find your rewards from the Missions
• Settings: in your profile, you can update your name, socials, and wallets, as well as check KYC

Off-chain Badges

As a part of the gamification efforts, we will soon bring on board the off-chain badges that you can earn for various on- and off-chain activities. This feature will further enhance our User Profile system.

Visual Redesign

Our website received a revamped, redesigned attire. Welcome to the new Polkastarter – even better, sleeker, and fresher than before!

You will now find a new homepage, dashboard, and new centred navigation bar on the top of the page. 

We have long thought about a brand update that would allow us better to represent our values of sustainability and fairness in web3. To show who we are — we’ve wanted to feel more ‘fresh’ and more inclusive, while also having a strong identity that looks the part.
